About Stephen Cromarty

Starting his real estate career in January 2000, Stephen set out with a mission—not just to change his own and his family’s lives, but to make a meaningful difference in the lives of his clients and within the industry itself. As one of Lee Woodward’s first coaching clients, Stephen dove headfirst into the training he had once dodged in school. He invested heavily—over $20,000 per year—in real estate education, business development, life mastery, and wealth-building programs. Eventually, he joined Tony Robbins’ Platinum Group, working alongside the likes of Sarina Russo, Garry Ng, and Phillip Webb, and his current accountant and business strategist, Paul Siderovski.

As an agent, Stephen quickly became one of Newcastle’s top performers. When asked why, he says, “Where I came from, opportunities like this didn’t exist—I wasn’t going to waste it.” In his early years, he worked seven days a week, purchased his first home just six months into the industry, and has since gone on to acquire 19 properties.

During a training session at one of Lee Woodward’s earliest events, Stephen met Bill Kington—then one of Australia’s most in-demand agents and trainers. Their meeting marked a turning point. When the two joined forces, they became one of only three pioneering teams in Australia (alongside the Brad Miller Team and the Stenwaide Team) that reshaped what a real estate team could look like.

When asked if he rode on the coattails of Bill’s success, Stephen replies, “Of course. I gained his years of experience, and he got someone with a hell of a lot of passion who worked 12 to 13 hours a day, seven days a week.”

The team expanded with the addition of Ali, and together they went on to average an incredible 25–30 deals per month, focusing their efforts on the suburbs of Charlestown, Dudley, Whitebridge, and Redhead. When asked how they achieved such numbers, Bill simply said: “By dominating the marketplace.” This meant implementing strategic plans, consistent street campaigns, ‘just listed’ and ‘just sold’ marketing, and world-class buyer management.

In 2007, amid the Global Financial Crisis, Stephen and Bill launched their own agency. This captured the attention of John McGrath and Lee Woodward on what was then the podcast equivalent—Hot Topics—their journey was tracked for 12 months, the series was called “Cold Start”.

Still relentlessly focused on learning and growth, Stephen expanded his knowledge by attending the prestigious Disney Institute and learning from some of the most respected leaders in Disney history, including forging a connection with Norm Noble. He embraced innovation and continues to do so today.

Despite the economic climate, they achieved close to $1 million in their first year and grew by another $1 million each subsequent year. They also influenced the industry by building one of the first real estate agencies with an integrated lead generation system.

With 104 listings managed by just three agents, their success continued. Now, they are once again evolving—with a vision to revolutionize the industry for the third time.

Their current transformation into a Multi-Brand Company focuses on providing an advisory service for clients, as well as a career development arm for agents. This new model is designed to build, develop, and partner with high-performing agents, sharing in their success and supporting their growth.

In addition, their newly established Investment Advisory Services arm aims to grow a business managing 20,000 properties and selling 2,000 homes per year.
